Vintage Hofner Bass X2 Rewinds
Mike got in contact with me on behalf of the band, the pickups were posted to me so I could rewind both of them, giving a balanced sound.
I dismantled each pickup carefully and cleaned all parts, Re-charged both magnets and then rewound all the coils, the bridge is wound up to the max and the neck just slightly under giving the set hopefully three different sounds ( neck, both, bridge)
All vintage spec and the pickups are wired as humbuckers, I couldn't wax dip these pickups because the original Hofner coils would just melt.
